Megapu.sh as a Traffic Source

Megapu.sh is an advertising network that provides the 'push' type of ads for desktop or mobile devices. They operate mostly in Tier 3 countries. The following guide instructs how to track Megapu.sh traffic with Voluum.

Creating a working campaign funnel with Megapu.sh traffic requires having some elements ready beforehand:

• An active Megapu.sh account.
• An active Voluum account.
• An offer to promote.
• Optionally, a landing page.

Once you have prepared everything, you can go through the rest of this guide.

In the first step we describe how to create a campaign in Voluum. Doing so generates a campaign URL that you will submit to Megapu.sh as a target URL. In order to create a campaign in Voluum, perform the following steps:

1. Create an offer element. Read the Add an Offer to Voluum article to learn how to do that.
2. (Optionally) Create a lander element. Read the Add a Lander Element article to learn more.

3. Create a traffic source element. Voluum provides you with the Megapu.sh traffic source template, so you can use it and skip most of the manual setup. In order to use this template, perform the following steps:

   1. In Voluum, go to Traffic sources.

   2. Click the Create button and select the Traffic source option from the drop-down menu.

      

   3. Select the Megapu.sh template.
   4. Click the Next button.
   5. You can change or adjust any option in the New traffic source form. Once you have done so, click the Save button.

4. Create a campaign. 

   In Voluum, go to Campaigns and click the Create button.

   

   1. Provide basic campaign information.

      1. In the New Campaign form in the GENERAL tab, provide the name of your campaign in the Campaign name text field.
      2. (Optional) If you have the Workspaces feature enabled on your account, select the Private Workspace from the drop-down menu that you want this campaign to be assigned to. Read the Workspaces: Overview article to learn more.
      3. Select the Megapu.sh traffic source that you have just created from the drop-down menu.

      4. Click the Next button.

         

   2. Provide traffic destination information.

      1. In the DESTINATION tab, select the campaign destination type radio button.
      2. Select offer and lander elements that you have created. Read the Set Flows and Paths article to learn more.

      3. Click the Save button.

         

   3. Copy the campaign URL by clicking the Copy button.

      

You have now obtained the campaign URL. In the second step we describe how to create a campaign in Megapu.sh.

In order to create a campaign, perform the following steps:

1. In Megapu.sh, click the Push option in the menu on the left-hand side and select the New campaign button.
2. Select the country in which you want to advertise your offer from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the device type.
4. Paste the copied campaign URL in the text field.
5. Provide a title for your advertisement.
6. Provide a description for your advertisement.
7. Select the main creative.
8. Select the icon creative
9. Provide a name for your campaign.
10. Select a carrier.
11. Provide a bid value.

12. Click the Create button.

    

Congratulations, you have now created a complete campaign funnel. Your visitors will see your ad and when they click it, they will be redirected to your landing page and offer.
