I. Outside Voluum

There are two platforms you have to visit before signing in to Voluum:

• Traffic source: sign up, top up your account and get an API key
• Affiliate network: find an offer in an affiliate network and get API keys

In the first step we describe how to create account in PropellerAds. We have selected this traffic source because its ease of use and high-quality traffic (the stream of visitors to your campaigns).

Register as an affiliate. Already have an account? You can jump to the next paragraph of this article. If not, perform the following steps:

1. Go to the https://propellerads.com/registration/ web page.
2. Select the I am an Advertiser option.
   
3. Provide all the required personal and contact information.
4. Click the Next button.
   
5. Provide all the required business information and click the Sign up button.
6. Click the Sign up button.
   

Once you click this button, you will receive an email confirmation message on the email address that you have provided. Click the Activate link in that message. Your account will be reviewed and after the review you will be able to top-up your account.

PropellerAds, similarly to all other traffic source platforms, uses top-ups as a payment method for traffic. It works just like a prepaid phone: once you make a top-up, you can make phone calls until you run out of money. In PropellerAds, your "phone calls" are ad views. So, before you can buy any traffic, you have to top-up your account with a minimal amount of $200.

In order to make a top-up, perform the following steps:

1. In PropellerAds, click your top-up value.
   
2. Set your payment options and payment value and pay.
   

You now have money to buy traffic.

Voluum and PropellerAds can be integrated via the Automizer feature. This is a recommended step for all users. The integration gives you the following benefits:

• Reliable cost tracking
• An option to control your campaigns in PropellerAds from Voluum
• An option to create rules that act upon conditions you set

In order to integrate, you need to get an API key from PropellerAds first.

1. In PropellerAds, go to the Profile tab.
2. Click the Create token button.
   
3. Provide a name for the token and click the icon.
   
4. Your API key has been created. Click the button to copy it to the clipboard.
   

Paste the API key to any text editing tool to save it for later.

Offers can be found in affiliate networks. The affiliate network we recommend and use in this guide is Clickdealer because of its good selection of offers and a friendly approach towards newbies. The first thing you should do is to create an account in Clickdealer.

If you already have an account there, you can jump straight to the next part of this article.

To create an account in Clickdealer, follow the steps below:

1. Use the following link to go to Clickbank's sign up page: https://www.clickdealer.com/signup/
2. Provide basic account information.
3. Click the Continue button.
   
4. Provide additional traffic information.
5. Click the Finish button.
   

You will get an email confirmation link. Click it to complete the registration process.

To find offers in Clickdealer, do the following:

1. Sign in to Clickdealer / CPA network.
2. Click Offers / Browse.
3. Use the filtering options to narrow down your search.
4. Locate an offer you want to promote and click it.
   
5. Tick the box.
6. Apply for an offer.
   
7. Select an ad format.
8. Click the Apply button.
   
9. Once accepted, this offer will be available in the My campaigns tab.
10. Click the offer you have requested.
    
11. Select a creative you want to use.
12. Select media type.
13. Click the Copy the URL to clipboard button.
    
    

Save this offer link for later in a text editing tool.

Custom tracking domains are often used by marketers to:

• Protect their Voluum dedicated domain. Each Voluum account gets a unique and dedicated tracking domain. A user is solely responsible for the reputation of the dedicated domain. If it gets blocked, a new dedicated domain will cost $50 per month. Having a custom domain that has a CNAME record pointing to the dedicated domain protects the latter one from a potential ban.
• Set a campaign for first party cookies. Cookie-reliant tracking may break in some scenarios. Privacy policies of various web browsers often change and may sometimes limit the use of third-party cookies. That's why if you use the same domain for tracking and for your landing (you can create a separate subdomain for tracking), cookies left by Voluum will be treated as first party ones, and therefore, not blocked.
