Creating a Flow
A flow is a predefined set of campaign destination
Types of Paths
In the flow you will find different types of paths that might be added:
- Rule-based paths: They enable traffic to be targeted to a particular destination based on specific criteria and values set. Read the Adding a Rule-Based Path article to learn more.
- Default paths: They do not have any traffic-targeting options. In other words, there are no rules applied to them. There is always at least one default path defined for the flow - Voluum adds the default path entity automatically, you only need to define the landers/offers for it. For the default paths, you can select only offers or both, landers and offers. Read the Adding a Default Path article to learn more.
Creating a Flow
In order to define the flow in the Voluum platform, perform the following steps:
-
In Voluum, go to Flows.
- Click the Create button and select the Flow option from the drop-down menu.
- Provide a unique name for your flow. The name of the flow in Voluum is based on the following pattern: {country_label or Global} - {your_unique_custom_name}.
-
If you want the flow to be geo-specific, select the Country from the drop-down menu. Keep in mind that the country selection does not determine the traffic source geo-location in any way. If the flow is intended for multiple geos, leave the Global option selected.
Voluum Note: This option determines which landers and offers will be available to select from the drop-down menu within a path setup. If you select one country, for example United States, all the landers and offers with the United States and Global country label will be displayed during selection.
-
If required, change the value of Default redirect mode. The Default redirect mode value will be valid for the global setup of the flow. However, it is possible to have a specific redirect mode for each individual path.
-
You have now set the global settings of the flow. Next, you need to define the paths that you would like to distribute your traffic to in your campaign funnels. You need to define at least one default path for the flow:
