Leadbit and Voluum

Leadbit is a direct advertising and an affiliate network platform that provides offers from many verticals, suitable for every niche. Using their inventory in your campaigns with Voluum as the tracker is very easy. All the necessary steps and options are described below.

In this guide the following topics will be discussed:

• How to define a source and select an offer in Leadbit.
• How to configure a postback URL to send information about conversions back to Voluum.
• How to add a Leadbit offer to Voluum.

Before you start, there are a couple of things you should have:

• An active Voluum account
• An approved Leadbit account
• A basic knowledge of Voluum. Completing the Getting Started guide is sufficient.

Once you are sure that you are ready, go through the steps below. We recommend that you go over this guide with both Voluum and Leadbit platforms opened in separate tabs. This way you can do the actions you are learning about.

In the first step we quickly define the type of source of your traffic. You will later use the source you are about to define while creating a tracking link in Leadbit. In order to add a source, perform the following steps:

1. In Leadbit, select the Sources option from the menu on the right.

   

2. Click the Create new source button.
3. Select the source type by clicking the icon.
4. Select what kind of traffic you will advertise your offers in by selecting an appropriate option from the Kind drop-down menu.
5. Provide a name of your source in the Title text field. You can skip adding a resource URL.
6. Provide a short description in the Description field.

7. Click the Save button.

   

You have defined a traffic source in Leadbit. Now you are ready to choose your offer. 

With the source of your traffic defined, you can find an offer you think will work best for you. If you are not sure which offer that might be, you can always contact Leadbit's support. To select an offer, perform the following steps:

1. In Leadbit, select the Offers option from the menu on the right.

   

2. Select appropriate filtering options from the drop-down menus and click the Apply button.

   

3. Once you have located the offer you want, click the Create Tracking URL next to it. You will be directed to the Create flow screen.

   

4. In the Create flow screen provide a name of your flow in the Name field.

5. Select the source you created previously from the Source drop-down menu.

   

6. Tick the box next to the landing that you want to use.

   

7. You can skip the Traffic settings section as we will define postback globally, not only for this particular flow.
8. Click the Create flow button at the bottom of the page.

You have created the flow. Now you can get an offer link.

An offer link is a URL that you will paste in Voluum to direct visitors to your offer. You can get this link from Leadbit after successfully creating a flow. In order to get this link, perform the following steps:

1. In Leadbit, in the Tracking URLs tab, click the  icon. The Get code pop-up will appear.

   

2. Copy the part of the offer URL without any tracking parameters, with the ? character included. All tracking parameters will be set when selecting the affiliate network template in Voluum later on.

   

Now you can go to Voluum and create an affiliate network element.

Affiliate network elements in Voluum are used to organize you offer elements and to configure tracking tokens automatically. In order to add this element, perform the following steps:

1. In Voluum, go to the Affiliate networks tab.

2. Click the Create button and select the Affiliate network option from the drop-down menu.

   

3. Select the Leadbit template.
4. Click the Load template button.
5. Configure other options, accordion to your needs, and click the Save button.

To create an offer element in Voluum, perform the following steps:

1. In Voluum, go to Offers.

2. Click the Create button and select the Offer option from a drop-down menu.

   

3. Select the Leadbit affiliate network element that you have just created from the Affiliate network drop-down menu.
4. Provide a name for your offer in the Name text field.
5. Paste the link from Leadbit that you have copied in the previous section into the Offer URL field.

   Copy the tracking parameter and add it at the end of an offer URL, after the ? character. Your offer URL should look like this:
7. Click the Copy button next to the postback URL to copy it to the clipboard. The postback URL already has all tracking parameters configured.

8. After setting up any additional options, click the Save button.

   

Your offer has been added to Voluum. All that's left to do is to submit a postback URL to Leadbit.

In the last step of the setup process, you need to submit the postback URL that you have just copied from Voluum to Leadbit. This will allow Leadbit to send information about conversion to Voluum. In order to do that, perform the following steps:

1. In Leadbit, navigate to Profile / Global Postback option on the menu on the right.

   

2. Paste the copied postback URL In the Postback URL text field.
3. Tick the boxes next to the all 6 options that refer to different cases where a postback request is sent.

4. Click the Save button.

   

You have successfully set everything up. Now you can use the offer you created in Voluum in your campaign funnel and observe the incoming conversions therein.
