Using Snapchat as a Traffic Source

Voluum TRK Integrations Snapchat

Snapchat is a social app focused on sharing multimedia content and connecting you with your friends. With the help of this guide, you will learn how to track your Snapchat Ads with Voluum

Table of Contents
Tracking Snapchat Traffic

Snapchat supports both direct and redirect methods of tracking, so you can select one according to your preferences. Note that Snapchat does not offer any dynamic tokens, so it is not able to pass any unique visit characteristics. However, you will still get some characteristics from Voluum, such as country or device type, that Voluum can fetch on its own.

Snapchat support conversion tracking only via its proprietary conversion pixel in the form of a JavaScript code block. This means that you cannot pass conversion info from Voluum to Snapchat. The only option is to implement the Snapchat pixel on your "Thank You" page and set up conversion tracking in Voluum and Snapchat in parallel, independently of each other.

Before You Start

Before you start with the setup, you need to make sure that you have the following things ready:

  • An active Voluum account.

  • An active Snapchat Business account.

  • An offer and, optionally, a lander.

Once you have everything ready, you can proceed with the rest of the guide.
