Setting up a Native Campaign - Part 3: Creatives

To finalize your campaign, you have one last step - Creatives. This part of the guide shows you the third step of the native campaign configuration. To perform actions listed below, you need to finish all mandatory steps from the first and the second section of campaign creation.

In this tab, all fields are required.

  1. Click on “Upload creatives”.

  2. Next, you need to add Headline(s) which will be a main piece of text displayed in your native ad unit. You can also add dynamic macros that populate text with keywords relevant to the users’ location or device. Region macro also populates the US state names. You can add more headlines, remember to put one headline per line.

  3. In the Main images section you need to upload the creative that will be displayed in the native ad unit. Make sure to add large and various sizes of the creatives, in order to cover requirements from different ad exchanges.


    Voluum NoteHeadlines, Description length and Main image, Icon image size will depend on AdExchange requirements, and you can read more about it here: AdEx Specifications or hoover over the question mark next to each element in the campaign configuration.

  4. Description is a bit wider version of the headline (usually it’s the description of the product promoted). In the Description you can also use tokens that populate text with keywords relevant to the users’ location or device, region or country.

  5. In the Brand field add a name of the promoted brand.

  6. Next, add a text you want to put on the Call to action button. A call to action button, that is mainly used in mobile in-feed placement. Make sure to add a CTA in order to bid effectively for in-app traffic.

  7. Select a file containing the Icon image. It is usually the product logo, mainly used for in mobile in-feed placements.

    Now that you have a headline, description, main and icon image, the system will match each each copy with each creative. To see how it looks in practice, click the preview button at the bottom.

  8. After you have it all set, proceed by clicking the Create button.

  9. Your newly created campaign will be listed in the Campaigns tab.
