Adding a Click URL to a Landing Page

Click URLs are used to redirect visitors from a landing page to an offer. The number of offers on a landing page will determine the Voluum click URL format used in call-to-action (CTA) links / buttons. As it was described before, you can use a landing page in your exemplary campaign that promotes shoes to entice visitors to different offers or elaborate on advantages of your current offer. Whichever option you select, you will have to include CTA buttons on your landing page that will have click URLs beneath them to direct visitors to your offer or offers.

The goal of this article is to show you the simplest configuration of adding a click URL to the landing page, so you might get familiar with the concept itself. As an example, we will focus on adding the click URL for a single offer where your visitors are redirected to after clicking the offer's banner. Although much more complex setup is also possible within Voluum, we highly recommend taking a look at the below description to be sure that this basic setup is understandable to you.

Landing pages with a Voluum click URL placed under a CTA link do not require any additional scripting for tracking clicks or offer redirections.

I. Get Your Click URL

First of all, you need to get your click URL that you are going to paste on your landing page:

 1. In Voluum, click the profile_settings.png icon (top right screen). The Settings view will show up.

 2. Go to the Tracking URLs tab. You will see the URLs that are used to track conversions.

 3. Go to the CLICK URL section and click the Copy button next to the click URL. It means that you have a single offer (a single CTA link) on the landing page.

 4. Once you have copied the URL, leave the Voluum platform and go to your landing page.

II. Add the Click URL to Your Landing Page

Within the single click URL copied above, you can add as many links as you want to the page, but only of one type. In other words, you can paste many CTA links on your landing page, but all of them will redirect your visitors to the same offer. In this example, you use a single call-to-action (CTA) link and it is always associated with the click URL .

This click URL should be placed into the
section of a landing page’s HTML:

Once you have added the URL to the landing page, your campaign funnel with a landing page and an offer is ready.
