I. Advertising Content Policy

Prohibited Content

All types of below listed content, products, and services are strictly prohibited from running in your Voluum DSP campaign:

  • Adult Content - including but not only limited to pornography, nudity, and overly sexualized content;

  • Controversial Content - including but not limited to content related to crises, controversies (for example political change), social issues or sensitive subjects;

  • Dangerous Content - such as weaponry, explosives, etc. and also guides how to assemble it;

  • Deceptive Content - deceptive, misleading, untruthful content, that violates any law, rule, or regulation of any applicable jurisdiction;

  • Drugs and Illegal Substances - promotion of harmful substances (chemical and herbal drugs) and any equipment and prescriptions used to create it;

  • Hate Speech and Discrimination - promotion of any content that segregates individuals or groups of people by race, gender identity, religion, political ideology;

  • Illegal Activity - any illegal activity, including without limitation, the promotion of software piracy, hacking, or gambling (unless permitted by local laws) and promotion of content that violates any law, rule or regulation of any applicable jurisdiction;

  • Obscene and Morally Wrong Content - anything that is abusive, offensive, or obscene;

  • Religion - promoting one religion over another;

  • Third-Party Infringement - content, that infringes the personal rights, trademark, service mark, logo, copyright or other intellectual property right;

  • Violence and Gore - promotion of behavior that is intended to hurt, injure, damage, kill or destroy someone or something. Also, the results of such actions as gore, blood, dead bodies.

Prohibited Campaign Practices

Ads cannot promote malware as well as campaigns cannot lead to domains and content that exhibit malicious behavior. Below, are examples of prohibited campaign practices at VoluumDSP:

  • Auto Download - automatic downloads of applications or any software without the user’s consent;

  • Cloaking - cloaking and smartlink-related techniques implemented to hide the real destination that a user is directed to;

  • Deceptive Elements - notifications bar, pop-ups, error warnings or other interface elements, that are misleading, deceptive for the user;

  • Malicious and Suspicious Software/Applications/Downloads;

  • Malicious Redirects - scripts that take away visitors from their intended websites;

  • Phishing - fraudulent techniques to obtain sensitive information by disguising oneself as a trustworthy entity;

  • Ransomware - a type of malware that provides limitations or even prevents users from accessing their operational system unless a ransom is paid;

  • Spyware - unwanted software that hides on users’ devices and could steal sensitive information like passwords or bank account details.

Please keep in mind, that according to our Terms & Conditions:

Voluum, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to disapprove of any or all of Customer’s Content and remove any Content that Voluum, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines is in violation of the Agreement, and any terms and conditions or policies contained herein or incorporated by reference.

Landing Page Policy

The destination URL (the landing page URL as well as the offer URL) must lead to a working page. There cannot be any blank pages or pages with an unreasonable amount of popups. The content of landing pages has to be related to the promoted product and should not mislead the visitor.

Creatives (Main Image & Icon Image) Policy

Creatives should be informative and related to the campaign topic. Creatives cannot have poor quality or very low resolution and what is important cannot be misleading.

Creatives cannot include:

  • Blurred Faces;

  • Deceptive Tactics;

  • Drugs and Illegal Substances;

  • Hate Speech and Discrimination;

  • Nudity and Overly Sexualized Content;

  • Obscene and Morally Wrong Content;

  • Personal Data & Documents;

  • Third-Party Infringement;

  • Unauthorized Use of Famous Persons Images;

  • Violence and Gore;

  • Weapons.

Ad Copy (Headline & Branding text) Policy

Headlines, as well as branding text, must make sense and should contain correctly spelled words, proper grammar, punctuation, and capitalization (excessive capitalization is not allowed, only acronyms i.e. NASA are acceptable):

  • YES: 5 Unbelievable Books You Won't Believe Exist

  • NO: 29 Foods!! That, Forgot, How to Food@@

  • NO: 5 UNBELIEVABLE Books You Won't Believe Exist

Headlines and branding text should not be misleading and inaccurate to the offer content. Also, they cannot contain any offensive and abusive words in any language. Also, there cannot be any unauthorized endorsements of famous persons.

Geo-Restrictions

Campaigns and promoted content should be compliant with laws, rules, or regulations of any applicable jurisdiction.
